This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) describes how Knack City (“Knack City,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you access or use the Knack City mobile application, website(s), and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Policy applies to Customers and Service Providers and should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
This Policy is intended to provide notices required by applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), to the extent those laws apply to our processing of Personal Information.
FIRST.- Scope; Definitions
For purposes of this Policy:
- (a) “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked (directly or indirectly) with a particular individual or household.
- (b) “Process” (and “processing”) means any operation performed on information, whether by automated means or not, such as collecting, storing, using, disclosing, or deleting.
- (c) This Policy does not apply to information processed in the context of employment or recruiting (if applicable) or to information that is not Personal Information.
- (d) “Sensitive Personal Information” has the meaning given under applicable law and may include, where applicable, precise geolocation, account login credentials, financial account information, and other categories designated by law.
- (e) “Sell,” “Share,” and “Business Purpose” have the meanings given under the CCPA, to the extent applicable.
SECOND.- Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Platform:

We may collect Personal Information directly from you, automatically from your device or browser, from other users in connection with bookings and communications, from vendors and service providers acting on our behalf, and from payment processors, analytics providers, identity verification providers, and marketing/advertising partners.
THIRD.- How We Use Information
We use Personal Information for purposes that may include:
- (a) providing, operating, and maintaining the Platform;
- (b) creating and administering accounts and user profiles;
- (c) facilitating bookings between Customers and Service Providers;
- (d) processing payments, payouts, refunds, and chargeback management;
- (e) providing customer support, responding to inquiries, and sending service-related notices;
- (f) safety, integrity, verification, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcement of our terms and policies;
- (g) improving the Platform, developing new features, and performing analytics;
- (h) marketing and promotional communications (subject to opt-out mechanisms where required);
- (i) complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests.
We may also use Personal Information for short-term, transient use; debugging; auditing related to interactions with our Platform; detecting security incidents; protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; internal research for technological development; and quality assurance, as permitted by law.
FOURTH.- How We Share Information
We may share Personal Information in the following circumstances:
- (a) With Other Users (to Facilitate Services). The Platform is designed to connect Customers and Service Providers. Depending on your role and settings, we may share information such as your name, profile information, general location, booking details, and communications necessary to provide Services.
- (b) With Service Providers/Vendors. We may share information with third-party vendors, software providers, SDK providers, and service providers that help us operate, maintain, improve, and support the Platform, including payment processors, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, customer support providers, messaging providers, push notification providers, mapping and geolocation providers, deep-linking and sharing providers, and identity verification services. These providers may include, without limitation, Google Maps and related geolocation services, Firebase for analytics and push notification functionality, Branch.io for deep-linking and sharing functionality, payment processing providers, cloud infrastructure providers, and other operational or analytics partners.
- (c) With Marketing Partners. We may share information with marketing partners for advertising and measurement purposes, subject to your choices and applicable law.
- (d) For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful governmental request; (ii) enforce our agreements and policies; (iii) protect the rights, property, and safety of Knack City, our users, or others; or (iv) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
- (e) Business Transfers. We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our business or assets.
- (f) With Your Consent. We may share information for other purposes if you direct or consent to such sharing.
For the 12 months preceding the Effective Date of this Policy, we may have disclosed the categories of Personal Information listed in Section Second to service providers, contractors, affiliates, other users, payment processors, analytics providers, identity verification providers, customer support providers, hosting providers, messaging providers, legal/compliance recipients, and marketing/advertising partners for the business and commercial purposes described in this Policy.
We do not knowingly sell Personal Information for money. However, certain disclosures involving cookies, SDKs, analytics, or advertising technologies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information under California law. If we engage in such practices, California residents have the right to opt out as described below.
FIFTH.- Tracking Technologies; Analytics; Advertising
We may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, understand usage, improve performance, and support marketing campaigns. Depending on your device and where you live, you may have options to control these technologies through browser settings, mobile device settings, and/or in-app controls.
We and our partners may use these technologies to collect device, browsing, app activity, and similar information for analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising-related purposes. To the extent required by applicable law, we will provide you with any required notices and choices, including the ability to opt out of certain advertising-related disclosures or uses of Personal Information.
The Platform may also use mapping, geolocation, and navigation-related technologies and APIs provided by third parties, including Google Maps services and related providers, in connection with location-enabled functionality.
If required by applicable law, we will also process browser- or device-based opt-out preference signals in a frictionless manner for the specific browser or device, to the extent such signals are recognized as a valid request to opt out of sale or sharing.
SIXTH.- Your Rights and Choices
(a) Access, Correction, and Deletion. Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete your Personal Information.
Account Deletion Requests
Users may request deletion of their account at any time by contacting us through the support/contact information provided in this Policy or through available in-app account controls, if applicable.
Upon deletion, access to the account and certain Platform features may be disabled immediately. However, certain information may be retained temporarily or maintained in backup systems for a reasonable period of time for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, legal compliance, safety and security purposes, or other legitimate business needs.
In certain circumstances, deleted accounts may be restored upon verified request by the account holder through our support channels, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
(b) Account Controls. You may update certain account information through your profile settings.
(c) Marketing Preferences. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may still receive transactional or service-related communications.
(d) Location Controls. You can control precise location sharing through your mobile device settings. If you disable precise location, some features may not work properly.
(e) How to Submit Requests. To submit a request under this Section, contact us using the details in Section TENTH (Contact Us). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
(f) Additional Rights for California Residents. If you are a California resident, and subject to certain exceptions and verification requirements, you may have the following rights:
- Right to Know: to request that we disclose the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the business or commercial purposes for collecting, selling, or sharing it, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it, and the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: to request deletion of Personal Information we collected from you.
- Right to Correct: to request correction of inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: to direct us not to sell or share your Personal Information, if we engage in those practices as defined by California law.
- Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: to request that we limit certain uses or disclosures of Sensitive Personal Information, if applicable under California law.
- Right of Non-Discrimination / No Retaliation: to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include matching information you provide against information we maintain. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification of the agent’s authority and your identity as required by law.
If we use Sensitive Personal Information only for purposes permitted by law, we may not offer a right to limit beyond those uses.
SEVENTH.- Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform and for legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, complying with legal obligations, and preventing fraud and abuse. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
When determining how long to retain Personal Information, we consider the nature, sensitivity, and volume of the information; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; the purposes for which we collected and use the information; whether we can achieve those purposes through other means; and our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, reporting, contractual, and litigation obligations.
Where possible, we delete or deidentify Personal Information when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
EIGHTH.- Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
NINTH.- Children’s Privacy (18+)
The Platform is intended for individuals 18 years of age and older and is not directed to minors. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create accounts or use the Platform. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a person under 18 in violation of our policies, we will take steps to delete such information as appropriate.
We also do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 in a manner subject to 15 U.S.C. § 6502. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

ELEVENTH.- Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law (for example, by posting an updated Policy and updating the Effective Date, and/or by in-app notice). Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Policy becomes effective indicates that you have read the updated Policy.
TWELFTH.- Compliance; No Deceptive Practices
We aim to describe our privacy practices accurately and to process Personal Information consistent with this Policy. In the United States, privacy representations may be enforced under laws prohibiting unfair or deceptive acts or practices. See generally: 15 U.S.C. § 45 Unfair Methods of Competition Unlawful; Prevention By Commission.
If this Policy conflicts with any applicable law, we will process Personal Information in accordance with applicable law.
